Event: Connections Synposium, Oct. 25, Oswego
On Oct. 25, SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations will gather women from Central and Northern New York for the second annual Connections symposium. This event is designed to bring women of all ages and backgrounds together to explore their place and power in their professions.
The day’s agenda will include such speakers as SUNY Oswego alumna Joni Daniels whose book, "Power Tools For Women: Plugging Into the Essential Skills for Work and Life", touches on all levels of professional and personal development. Julia DeVillers, also an alumna, an author of books that empower teen and tween girls. Also featured will be Carrie Lazarus, Co-Anchor on WSYR, Channel 9 whose Family Healthcast was one of the first daily health and fitness reports in the nation.
Throughout the event attendees will have the opportunity to visit the Women’s Market Place to support the sponsors and shop women-owned businesses (cash & check only – no credit cards).
