As a plan sponsor (employer) you need to know some of the changes, like the permanency of increased contribution limits and catch-up contributions that are directly affecting your employees.

Biotech Seminar; Funding Early Stage Innovation: Is Corporate Venture Capital the Answer?

Biotechnology Management & Entrepreneurship Seminar Series at RPI with speaker Campbell Murray, MD and Director of Novartis BioVenture Fund. Video-conferenced to Syracuse Technology Garden.
Traditional venture capital firms have reduced funding for early stage biomedical technologies since 2002. Entrepreneurs find it difficult to get funding on technology platforms or for preclinical products. Campbell Murray, MD will serve on the panel that will explore the current trends in funding drugs and devices and then discuss the role of corporate venture capital going forward. The discussion on strategic focus vs. financial metrics will be accentuated with the underlying changes in traditional venture capital interest and hedge funds.

TH3: Citywide Visual Art Nights

TH3 is a city wide art open in Syracuse that takes place on the third Thursday of most months. This gallant project, initiated by the Everson Museum and the Delavan Art Gallery, is joined by the most distinctive venues in the city in a grand event to bring the artistic experience to the public. TH3 establishes Syracuse as a city for the arts in this initiative to reachout its local and regional communities.
