Majority of small-biz owners work six-day weeks

That's according to a Sept. 27, 2005 article in the Central NY Business Journal. Here are some interesting quotes from the Wells Fargo/Gallup survey to ponder:
  • Small-business owners work an average of 52 hours per week, with 57 percent working at least six days a week, and more than 20 percent working all seven.
  • Small-business owners surveyed take an average of two weeks of vacation per year, with 14 percent saying they don't take any vacation at all.
  • 87 percent of all respondent say they're satisfied as a small-business owner and 94 percent say they are successful.
  • 67 percent are content with their work-life balance.
